The Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao’s main concern is for the optimum development of its pupils/students. This school takes measure in ascertaining that the right kind of pupils and students are admitted and given affordable incentives through scholarship, grants and special study privileges.

As a general rule, applicants can not enjoy two privileges at the same. In addition to the above scholarship and study grant programs granted by the by the school. It also caters to:

  2. OPAPP-CHED Study Grant program to the Rebel Returnees.
  3. Scholarship program funded by Philanthropic individual, NGO’s, Agencies, Local and National government officials.

Academic Scholarships

Entrance Scholarships This scholarship is awarded to valedictorians and salutatorians who are a graduate of public and private recognized high schools. It is implemented in the following manner:

  1. Valedictorians of graduating class of at least 100 are graduates granted free tuition fees.
  2. Salutatorians of graduating classes of at least 100 or more graduates are granted 50% free tuition fees, or a 50% discount on tuition fees.

A certificate is required, signed by the Principal or Head of the School from which the applicant has graduated and the duly accomplished application for scholarship. Students on Entrance Scholarship must have a general average of 90% or better with no grade below 85%; and 85% with no grade of 80% in any of the academic subjects in a given semester/school year to maintain their scholarships respectively. Full and Partial Scholarships Academic scholarship is granted to the most deserving pupils/students who are officially enrolled in this institution and have obtained the minimum required grades, indicated as follows:

Elementary and High School

  1. Full scholarships or free tuition fees are awarded to valedictorian (graduating) and First Honors (non-graduating).
  2. Partial scholarships are awarded to salutatorians (graduating) and Second Honors (non-graduating). They are granted with 50% free tuition fees.

A certificate is required, signed by the Principal or Head of the School and the duly accomplished application for scholarship. Students on Full and Partial Scholarship must have to maintain their academic standing within a given semester/school year to maintain their scholarships.

College Level

  1. Full scholarships or free tuition fees are awarded to students with an average grade of 1.25 with no grade of all academic subjects as prescribed in the curriculum, within a given semester.
  2. Partial scholarships or a 50% discount on tuition fees are awarded to students with an average grade of 1.50 with no grade of all academic subjects as prescribed in the curriculum within a given semester.

A report of grade duly evaluated by the Records Officer and duly signed by the Registrar and the duly accomplished application for scholarship are required. Students on Full and Partial Scholarship must have to maintain their academic standing in a given semester/school year to maintain their scholarships.

Sibling Discount

This privilege is applicable to brothers and sisters who are all paying. This is implemented or granted in accordance with the following policies, to wit:

6 children One (1) will enjoy free tuition fees and another One (1) will enjoy 25% discount.
7 children One (1) will enjoy free tuition fees and another One (1) will enjoy 50% discount.
8 children Two (2) will enjoy free tuition.

This applies to the Elementary Grade (except Kinder) and Secondary level with the following requirements, such as:

  1. Birth Certificate photocopy
  2. Income Tax Return photocopy
  3. Certificate of Enrollment photocopy
  4. Duly Accomplished Application Form

Dependent Study Grant

This program is granted to the children or nearest relatives of the Faculty and Staff of the English Department of the Jamiatu Muslim Mindanao and the Board of Directors, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Faculty and staff members with at least three (3) consecutive years in service shall be entitled to only one (1) dependent.
  2. The dependent is required to finish the course enrolled within the prescribed year.
  3. Replacement of dependent shall be granted only after the first one has already graduated from the course enrolled. However, this program subject to the approval of the President.

The granting of discounts on tuition fees is based on the dependent’s relationship to JMM faculty members/staff. Refer to table 2.

The following are the requirements for the Dependent Study Grant Privileges:

  1. Letter of the Employee-Applicant
  2. Service Record of the Employee
  3. Certificate on Enrollment photocopy
  4. Duly Accomplished Application Form
